I am just leaving school and my prom is around the corner (3 weeks and 3 days exactly) basically as it is a black tie event I would like to look appreciable. Now its not the dreadlocks that are the problem but the fact that they will be very new, and new dreadlocks normally look a mess? So will my dreads be a bit more tame by then? If i dont get them before prom i will get the literally the day after prom!
Hmmm.. Three week dreads are rather scruffy, and don't tame down well. Since you're don't have them started, I'd wait and make a grand day out of the following day. Exception is if you already have hair long enough to pull back. Then a tidy ponytail or bun can contain the fuzzlets.
my hair is about 7-8 inches long, long enough to tie back now but maybe not as dreadlocks shrink? i might leave it until after
