Hey all, Obviously I am new here, I am here to pretty much to keep up/connect with good souls. Currently I am in Tennessee for the holidays but normally I would say I am in Humboldt for now. However I am wanting to move to start a new, whether it means finding a community I fit in or just walking till I cant anymore. I am trying to find my place, and am looking for any advice. I kinda want to move to South Africa to find my spot. I am very lost in my life, it scares me. I love my family and everything, however it scares me to live in this box mentality. I mean it is good but I dont feel right, waking up, driving to work, fixing dinner, watching tv, bed. It makes my stomach up set. I like security but I do not like that way or form of security. I don't know if this makes any form of sense, but any help or advice would be appreciated dearly.
I can relate, I think a lot of people can but a good way to purchase that lot of land legally is to work in the box for a bit and save up. Then you can chill. You could make that your short term purpose for now and observe the changes in yourself that take place during the process.
Thanks, first of all. I do have to ask, I kind of want to backpack and live from day to day. I have some money saved up, and my family has property they'd let me use, however I would rather not use that but would.it be good to take a journey on my own for awhile?
That's definitely something you have to really be up for. But last year I hopped on a plane and lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina with only eight hundred dollars to my name. I ran out of money three months into the trip, but managed to live there for six months. I started off working at an organic farm, then I went to the city and found a job in a hostel in exchange for bed and breakfast. There are many ways to travel with little to no money, check out couch surfing. The trip was the greatest, most freeing experience, I've ever had; but again, you to have an open mindset. If you're going to find yourself that's good, that'll happen. But if you're going to escape something, then that'll just cause problems. Have a deep conversation with yourself about what it is that you're truly seeking, deep to the core, and then make your decision. Good Luck! Traveling truly expands your consciousness.
