Andrew Jackson's legacy is mostly one of murdering more natives that any other US president. He was or nearly was an abolitionist on the plus side. I support this. Although I don't like redesigned cash every couple years, when the $1 could really use the facelift.
You guys still have pennies? Get rid of them, its anoying, buy a few different things, suddenly you have a bunch of change that takes forever to get rid of
jackson was a total ass. anything replacing him is a good thing. tubman deserves to be honored. not sure how much of an honor it is to have your face on money though. as for money, i'd rather not see any human faces on it at all. scenes from nature on one side and scenes of architecture and infrastructure on the other. tubman is a step in the right direction. if we have to have faces i'd like to see djangonaweda, sarra winnimucca, and wavoka.
As long as I can still buy $20 worth of stuff with it, I'm fine. It's probably a good idea to change up who is on the currency from time to time, keep things fresh. :smoking:
if people didn't keep talking about it, i probably wouldn't notice for the first year after it took effect.
So now I can buy my Aunt Jemima brand pancake mix, syrup, and Uncle Ben’s converted Rice with a Harriet Tubman $20 dollar bill Hotwater
Perhaps but don’t you see the poetic justice in Andrew Jackson relegated to the back of the bill (bus) Hotwater
