I think it's just a way of dealing with unbearable moralistic crusaders...

I dont like preachy, moralizing people either. If I wanna catch a buzz then let me, captain buzzkill

But at the same time I think it's probably really hard to be a non drinker in a society where it is so culturally prevalent. And I often see the opposite, where non drinkers are often pressured to drink or people question why they dont drink instead of accepting that
    they can have fun sober

My non-drinking friends definitely have a more difficult time of it. People are strange when they learn that someone doesn't drink--it's like instead of hearing someone say "I don't drink", they hear them say "I don't like fun"

I think that it is the obsession, rather than the subject.
I worked wit a guy who spent his whole time with his eyes glued to the spedo and told me every time that I exceeded 30 mph. He was a pain in the ass and had no common sense. He would drive past a school at 30, where I wold be doing 15.

I cannot drink any form of beer, it makes me literally sick, but I enjoy a glass of wine with a meal and the odd glass of whisky in the evening and I am lucky enough not to have friends who comment about it in a negative way.

On the total opposite end of this spectrum, I have a friend I'm worried about. Like, she can't not get drunk to have fun. I think she has a legit problem. A lot of my friends get turnt often enough that it just becomes routine. Like, I get going out on the weekend and partying, getting ratchet, doing shots with your girls...but does it need to be every night?

No one can judge anybody if he is drinking to death, either, which is something I dont know how to do.

It is almost impossible to overdose on alcohol. You will pass out long before you could overdose (I passed out and sobered up in hospital at times).

Drinking to death shouldnt be about overdose. It must be about harming the liver getting drunk everyday.

I dont think It is MDMA what you are taking. Street ecstasy pills dont have MDMA in it. I dont think any drug dealer sells original ecstasy pills :)

It is a street drug. That's the point.

I go on the saying... never trust a man that says trust me.. but you can have fun with him!

In Spain, not a lot of people dont drink, it's cheap, readily available.. not a problem with it.. but the holiday makers... yuk!

And my point is there's no point trying to make a point of what people are taking if you yourself don't actually know.

You take a street ecstasy pill as it is an illegal synthetic drug. The point is clear.

No need to get agressive with me.

OK......It's Monday Morning Here And I Have Read All The Comments.......Seems Some Peeps

Think I Am "Knocking" Peeps Who Don't Drink.

That Most Certainly Was Not What I Intended.........The Subject Was "Non-Drinkers Attitude To Drinkers".

Let Me Give You An Example..............Back On Sat 7th I Held Another On Of My Parties........About 12

Guests Were Sitting Around The Dining Table Chatting And All Were "Totally Chill".......Then "Mr Non-Drinker"

Starts To Make Inroads Into Our "Mellow Mob" With Little "Abrasive Remarks" Re The Subject Being Discussed.

I Have Noticed This Attitude Many Times Over Many Years And I Am Still No Closer To Understanding Their

Behaviour Now As I Was Umpteen Years Ago......:confused2:

    Cheers Glen.

    :D

My dad has a glass too @GLENGLEN , but it's not more than that. I used to have problems with it, but try to maintain objectivity about others' habits or behaviors.

As for drinking alcoholic beverages, I would say that tis expensive! :) Especially in instances when it leads to DUI; which is the case with myself. :D

I am a the wrong person for this thread! LMAO! Ok, I'm leaving. sorry.

That would put me out too. Though I'll say this in whoever's defense: Knowing how to chat at parties can be a bit tricky! And it's awkward for some. Could that by a why to this all?
