Erm... The Yoga Sutras is a great text, I recommend it to anyone seeking self-fulfillment.

 

The Electric Kool-Aide Acid Tests. Hands down the best book i have ever read. If you want a book about a very different look on life, and want to learn about the roots of the hippy culture, this is definatly a must-read.

 

'Apocalypse Culture'. It is a collection of weird and esoteric stories from recent times. Like the murder on the location of the filming of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof",

and "the young necrophiliac California woman", and "the anomalies in Marilyn Monroe's death'. I read it long ago, but remember that all the stories were fascinating, yet kind of disturbing at the same time.
