Need help with novel about Catholicism

I’m writing a novel and I’m finding it difficult to get the answers to the questions I have.

Basically, my main character is a ten year old boy that has chosen to devote his life to the Church.

Since he hasn’t had a 1st Confession, is it normal for him to be able to do it on a regular weekday, or is he supposed to wait for a time when other children are doing their 1st Confession?

If the priest knows him personally, does he address him personally or put up the facade of anonymity?

In line with the previous question, if the priest knows for certain that this character isn’t admitting all of his sins, what does he say or do?

If the character does eventually admit he took satisfaction from his father’s early death, what penance would he get for that and for not immediately admitting it?

Any responses would be appreciated :)

normally first confession is in second grade, with your entire class. i have no idea how it would be scheduled if someone missed that.

i think the rest of the questions would pretty much depend on the priest. you could go pretty much any direction, depending on how you want the story to go and how you want the priest character to act.

As an aside. I too wish to wright a book and am looking for a ghost writer. I am French and think my grammar and diction too poor as well as my being disorganized and jump from topic to topic without good flow.

Are you a pro or a rooky and do you ghost write.

    Regards
    DL

I’m still an unpublished amateur. In regards to ghost writing, I’d prefer to write one of my own stories.

    Too much?

    There are worse ones.

What denomination did Benedict become after an altar boy sat in honey?

    A Rimming Catholic

I think I have ruined this thread, but OPs first novel, about a catholic priest and a boy, maybe not such a great idea

Um, this is my second novel, though the first one probably won’t get published. Also, there’s a lot more characters and plots going on than just the kid and the priest. I just simplified things for this thread so I wouldn’t have to go into unnecessary details.

How about first time a puppy sees a rainbow as the subject matter of your third novel

Perhaps it's a priest you need for divine direction (?)
