Need Advice From Experienced Nudists

Hi,
I'm Hailey. I started hanging out naked in my room when I was 15, and walking around the house when no one was home. My parents found out about it when they came home early one time. They asked me what I was up to, and I told them I just don't like wearing clothes.They didn't really say anything, but asked me to not do that when company was over. Last year, I was in my room, naked, and mom called me down for supper. I decided to go down like I was. Mom just looked surprised, and dad just kinda chuckled, so since then, I've been naked around the house a lot.

I've been naked outside after dark, but because we live in town, I was very careful. I was nervous, and excited at the same time. One car came by, but I ran and hid. Don't think they saw me, and my heart was pounding madly in my chest. But It felt sooo amazing! I just loved it!!.
I would like to visit a a nude beach, or learn more about nudism. I feel like I want to just be naked all the time!!

I've talked with some of my girlfriends, but would like to hear from you guys who are experienced nudists.

Any advice???

 

I'm not an experienced nudist, but feel exactly the same way as you do.
I have never told anyone about this, but really want to visit a nudist beach too. I spend a lot of time naked in my house, but have never been naked outside.

 

You could look for some pagan gatherings in your area. Many of them are clothing optional.

 

What are nude beaches like? I would like to go to one, but am afraid it will be full of guys gawking at me. Or is everyone like, 'Oh, hey naked person, how are you?' and it's all good. What is the typical age range? What is the guy to gal ratio? Do I 'dare' go there by myself? Wheres the best nude beach to go. If there is anything else you could add, I would appreciate it.

By the way, my parents support my decision to try this lifestyle out. And I am 18, so will be moving out on my own this summer anyway.

 

What general area are you looking for the beaches in?

 

I live in the US, but could pull enough money together to travel pretty much anywhere, if well planned out.

Central Florida area offers many nude resorts and from Lutz toward Kissimmee. It also offers two nude beaches between Titusville and New Symrna along the atlantic coast. My wife and I belong to one of the resorts and attended the beaxhes many times. Let me know if you need more info.

 

Do I need to worry about any creepsters, or is everyone pretty cool? Should I try and talk one of my girlfriends into going with me, or would I be ok alone?Are there many other people my age there?

 

Welcome to hipforums and to the nudist lifestyle. If you can, bring a friend with you to your first nude outing at the beach. Yes there are pervs on nude beaches but usually they are in secluded areas so stay with the main crowd, you'll be fine. If you don't have bad experiences there, you will be hooked for life.

And when you arrive at a nude resort...
1) There will always be "creepsters" around.
You will begin to "grow up" in a very small way because you will become more and more aware of just how fixated on young women are most men. (I am not representing here that this increase in your mature awareness is a positive thing, or not, only pointing out the universal truth of it)

I am a man into middle-age, not at all attractive but fit and not overweight.
If you are at a resort where I am visiting, I will be looking at you.
You are a young woman. And there without a male companion.
Sorry if it "creeps you out", it's just reality.
If you try it and it makes you uncomfortable, you may have to ask yourself if you are really suited to social nudity.


That said, there is nudist etiquette and accepted standard of behavior.
Specifically, if I am gawking, staring, finding a seating location where I have a direct line of sight toward you and especially the more intimate parts of your body, such behaviors would be considered excessive and against the rules at any nudist resort in the U.S.

There is this: nudist resorts only work as a business and only survive whether a business or as a private club when the women (and children if it is a family-oriented resort) can be comfortable and feel safe and secure.
For the owners or administrators (if it isn't a commercial enterprise but perhaps a club) this is paramount.
If you give it a bit of consideration, you'll easily understand that it is so and must be, given human nature.

Given that far more single males are attracted to social nudism than single females, that alone is a problem toward the goal of ensuring that the women are comfortable at all times and in all situations.

(and you may wish to try first a resort that allows no single males... there are still a few around I think)

Nude resorts vary quite a bit across the U.S.. The overall atmosphere and the age mix varies.
You will find far more younger nudists at some of the more "exclusive" (not really the word I want here, really just more expensive resorts in more desirable regions and areas.... the beach areas for example, Florida, California) resorts as I've heard..
(I've visited only family nudist resorts myself, so I can't know for certain).

The simple truth is though that most nudists are going to be over the age of 45. Anyone here will tell you that.
I won't even go into the multitude of reasons that is so.. you'll work it out.

Most urgently and primarily important:
You are a young woman, and at least somewhat more vulnerable. Not knowing you personally, I will guess that almost certainly you are in fact very very vulnerable.

Make no mistake about it, no matter where, and whatever anyone may tell you, nude resorts attract males who are there for sexual motivations, even if they do have also the natural nudist spirit and attitude.
If you are going to travel on your own to visit a nudist resort, be careful!!! Stop. Think about it. Whatever the situation, whether it's stopping at the 7-11 on the trip there, or the attractive well-spoken polite couple by the pool who invite you to continue the conversation in a more private setting..... whatever.

I am not suggesting that you be 'paranoid', but I am advising you to use extreme caution in all things.
Human beings are the most dangerous animals on the planet. Do not allow anyone to make of you their victim, ever.


If anyone, man or woman causes a problem for you at a nudist resort, you must regardless of all else let the administrators of the resort know immediately. And bear in mind, it isn't worth any risk to your well-being. Don't be eager about it. There will be other weekends, other resorts if that seems to be indicated. Take care of yourself and enjoy your exploration.

 

Go to Haulover Beach in Sunny Isles, Florida. I was there yesterday and there were a healthy percentage of younger fit beachgoers nude. It was a hot balmy day before the thunderstorms scared me off the beach and everybody is friendly. You won't have a problem. If you do just ask a lifeguard, but that shouldn't be necessary in my experience.

There were a few extremely attractive young ladies there yesterday and I noticed a lot of the men's heads were on swivels as they strolled by. They seemed to enjoy the attention and weren't put off by it. Why would they be? It's a compliment.

Equal opportunity: there were also a healthy number of very fit young men there as well, all nude.

All the theory and blah blah in the world melts away after you experience it for yourself. Just go and enjoy.

 

definitely a good idea to ask a girlfriend (or better still, a guy friend) to join you. I've always been with my husband when we visited nude beaches and we've never had any trouble but certainly you should expect to get looks. it's a great experience, don't let the small negatives scare you away
