there is no forum rules against it right? sometimes I necropost because there is not enough active threads and the forums can be dead and after I bring up some old threads the activity increases again.
I don't see anything wrong with necroposting. there are some threads that some people wanted to see die, and so they won't be happy to see it back from the dead. Indeed, especially when the active threads are dead or boring, necroposting can be a good thing. If you are just interested in the topic of a necrothread, you could just try recycling it. some necrothreads are interesting. interesting subject and interesting answers, worth seeing again.
i almost always fake rage at necroposters, but it's almost all just for fun. in reality, there are basically just two situations where i get annoyed at necroposting: 1) when someone necroposts a thread just to post "lol," "i agree," or "" 2) when it's a stupid thread that just keeps coming back to the top of the page over and over and over and over for years for no apparent reason.
I, too, will make fun of you relentlessly for doing it. It's what me and Undies are good at. And only problem I have with it is getting confused all to hell like I did the other day when that thread about kicking trannies' asses got bumped and I had no recollection of posting in it...because it was 2 years ago. But I'm pleased to say fundamentally I still feel the same as I did two years ago. But prepare to get a fist shaken at you every time you get me all excited that one of the old regulars has come back. *shakes fist for good measure*
I think necroposting is a great thing at times. As long as it's an interesting and/or offensive thread, I'm all for it. I don't know if it's just me, but it feels like the threads here tended to be more interesting in the past.
Yeah, I think it totally depends on the thread. But I have the same problem as Ramona, I never remember whether I posted in the thread or not and I get confused. Also, sometimes things that I said years ago in the old threads are embarassing.
Same! Some threads I feel are better left dead. But every now and then I like to go back and necropost one of my threads from like 2008 or something. lol
I forget who it was, but a few years ago, someone was necroposting one post a day...it was kinda neat except that some of the posts weren't really worth necroposting. I like the word "necroposting" Sounds so dirty...
