It's nothing a good strong magnet can't take care of. I use a magnet I took out of an old speaker, it's stong as hell, to "clean" anything I think might be suspect, such as my drivers licence. Also, I heartily reccomend that you make as many of your purchases as possible with cash, lie your ass off whenever you can get away with it on mindles beaurocratic paperwork, refuse to allow any unwarranted intrusion of your privacy by law enforcement and wear a hat in public if you don't want to be on closed circuit television.

If the government want to stick it's nose up my ass I can't stop them, but I can shit on their face.

Not just remotely strange. From that matrics site about using RFID in military applications.
Locate and track military personnel instantaneously

Which loosely translates into track anyone instantaneously, which further translates into having to carry the damn thing with you in order to get through the checkpoints where they are demanding to see your ID between say,Idaho and Pennsylvania or even upon travelling from one city to the next. Just imagine it. Some dick somewhere in a small position of authority just doesn't like you, wants to date your sister, whatever and just a few simple entries and you're screwed. Carted off to some unknown location. Further that with your purchase records, rent, etc... and a picture develops of which citizens are more self sufficient than others, ie not relying on the corporate system (the true ruler), what a way to hone in on those that fall outside of the routine of the good little follower. Work,Produce, Consume what is produced.... and remember to remove your hat and hold your hand over your heart whenever the flag is raised and lowered and when the national anthem plays. And of course if you are from any race or culture considered dangerous and a threat to the nation, you will recieve very close attention. Your papers please.

I was thinking about wrapping my id card in tin foil or something as well -- but a magnet isn't a half bad idea -- assuming it works..

magnets will only wipe magnetic storage from my understanding, and I don't know enough about RFID to know if the unique ID the radio frequency generates is stored magnetically.

    Want fair elections?

    Want to control the borders?

A national ID is the logical choice.

Besides -- I've lived in 4 different states in the last dozen years, and had the identical drivers license number the whole time.

I don't want to control the borders. If we are going to continue turning away immigrants we should tear down the statue of liberty.

    Quoth Lady Liberty:

"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame.
    With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

America is a nation of immigrants. Everyone who isn't a native american is an immigrant. As far as I am concerned, any law abiding person is welcome in my country no matter where they happen to have been born.

There's a difference between illegal and legal immigrants, you should check the backrounds of people entering your country, we shouldn't be letting hard criminals who are released into our country, and their health should be checked too, unless they're coming here for medical treatment, we should make sure we're not letting in people swarming with deadly, contagious diseases that have already been wiped out here.

Yeah I just love when a city is overrun by Mexicans. I love seeing them partying in their garages and blaring their mexican polka music....so nice.
It's great that they don't pay taxes and soak off our government. I love how they wave their flags and put Spanish stickers on their cars. If they are so fond of and proud of their country, why are they here? I know why they're here.

They're here because we have clean running water, plenty of jobs for people who are willing to work really hard, good schools, grocery stores in every town, houses with glass windows and solid walls, police that don't rape and torture (very often), a toilet in every home, and not quite as many mosquitoes.

So what if they party in their garage and listen to music. Do they not have the right to party in their garage and listen to music? Is there something wrong with showing fondness for their home country's flag? Is there some law that all bumper stickers must be in english? An if they weren't forced to sneak acrost the border, they would pay taxes like anyone else, employers would have to pay them the same wages as anyone else, and the only way they could take your job is if they did it better than you, in which case they deserve it.

Have you ever been to Mexico? I have. I have spent a lot of time in Mexico. Mexico is a third world country, and life there can be very tough. In large parts of the country people live all year in huts made of sticks, they sleep on hammocks, and they shit in a hole behind their hut. The nearest grocery store is 30 miles away and no one has a car so they have to walk there, but they don't very often because they grow their own food in their backyards, ad there is a grand total of four people in town who can read. They are here because we offer a chance at a better way of life. So, before you get all pissed about how they are culturally different than you, why don't you think about what it would be like to live in Mexico.

Besides, who would run the mexican restaurants without them?

isnt it great that we have americans cheering for lawlessness.

I have np with letting mexicans come into this country, but they need to do it legally.

I have nothing but respect for just laws, but an injust law is meant to be broken.

Is a slave escaping his masters in pre-civil war America lawlessness? Is a man smoking a joint in the privacy of his own home lawlessness? Is a native american refusing to be pushed off of the land his family has lived on for centuries lawlessness? Is a black woman refusing to give up her seat on a bus to a white man lawlessness? Is a gay man having sex with his partner in spite of sodomy laws lawlessness?

Lawlessness is letting people get away with rape, murder and robbery, not letting people move. So yes, I do in fact cheer when people move here to make a better life for themselves, it's the American dream in action and it is a beautiful thing. We don't serve the government, the government serves us, and if they don't like that, they can just kiss my free american ass.

Bull. They will not stop illegal immigration. They won't "keep track" of them any better than they do now.
No, I wasn't being funny, it's not a laughing matter. I don't care for Mexicans.

mmmm i have the same problem with people that abuse the system but not any one group in particular .. just anyone that abuses the system i dislike..

seeing mexicans partying and playing music ? I hope at least you know if they have no jobs, take from the goverment and generaly abuse the system ? Are the vast majority that you see abusing the system ?.. One or two bad apples does not make it right to almost attack a whole group of people ?

I understand were you are comeing from..but just hope it is not irrational.

having biometric ID i hope makes it even harder to abuse the system..

You're right, racism isn't funny. It's appaling and sad when someone looks upon another human being as less of a person because of the color of their skin or their country of origin. Is it just wetbacks, or do you hate jews, niggers and ragheads too? What about chinks, gooks and nips? How do you feel about them? Oh, and lets not forget about those damn frogs, krauts, pattys and wops, you can't have any of them in this country either. [IMG]

Face it, America is the most culturally diverse nation on the planet. If you want a homogenous society you are in the wrong place because this is a country of IMMIGRANTS. Every single human being in america is an immigrant, hell, even the natives immigrated from asia thousands of years ago. "Not caring for" mexicans is not an argument for anything except your own ignorance, so go fuck yourself you ignorant racist bitch.

No, it will just make it easier for the system to abuse you, me, and anyone else they feel like being viral shits to. I don't give two shits about "the system", the system is supposed to serve us, not the other way around. "The system" is, as of now, broken, not because of people abusing it, but because a bunch of fascist beaurocrats tried to make it too damn big. It grew a mind of it's own, and now it's on a rampage, running around raping everyone in the ass. Fuck the system, it doesn't deserve abuse, it deserves death.

Most Mexicans I know are really cool people. You might be surprised if you dropped your prejudice for a moment and actually made contact. I'm almost willing to bet that if you dropped the tight jawed "I hate you" approach you might learn a few things about the world in general and find that they're not out to get you. A line on a map was drawn, and heaven forbid, people crossed it. OMG. Anyway, doesn't matter. Either you accept it or one day wind up being a grumpy old bitch mumbling to herself about how they just didn't follow the rules. Be sure to have your card ready though.

I don't think less of them because of the color of their skin or where they originated from, I judge them by their behavior. There are many people I know that feel this way. Mexicans in general are rude. Obviously I've had enough negative experiences with them to draw this conclusion. I only listed a couple examples, but there are many more. My friend had to move this summer just to get away from them. They are unreasonably loud. Sure they "have the right" to play their annoying music, but it's rude. I would feel the same if someone played any other type of music where everyone has to hear it. Sorry, but after all the incidents I've dealt with, it just can't be a coincidence. I have no problem with their culture, just their rudeness. I do think it is absurd for them to obsess over Mexico when they live here. I wouldn't move to another country and display the U.S. flag, only speak English, and blare American music. Yes, Mexicans have the right to do this, but I also have the right to think it's silly.

No, I don't have a problem with anyone else. :)

They can immigrate and they can do it legally. Ummm, there was no government here when the Natives arrived....
No one has the right to come here and soak up the benefits of this country while not paying taxes. That's all there is to it.
