    lol nathan!!!!

I really don't mind if people steel my names, and people do it whether I want them to or not.

I really like names that no one has ever heard before. I always liked Lord Of The Rings names, but since the movies have come out I feel like I can't use them.

Weeks after Lavinia was born I heard that my cuisin in germany had adopted a little girl named Lavinia. They pronounce it "Lah-vin-ya" though. That loses a whole silible! People always ask us what we call her, and just look at them strangly and say "Lavinia."

An other cuisin of mine, Leandra, named her daughter Odessa while I was pregnant with Lavinia. I was so mad because that was one name we were thinking of. They call her "Dessa."

My daughter's name is Skylah Ginette (I made up her first name when I was a kid and her middle name is my sister's name) and I love my husband's name; Shem (It's Biblical, one of Noah's sons) My bro-in-law is named Tophey (it's Lebanese) which is also a cool name. I hate my name and I'm thinking of legally changing it to Tansy, Raine or Meadow. If we ever have a son his name would be either Malachi Aron or Levi Aron (Aron is my hubby's best friend who died a few years ago).

I know I'm not typical, but I have always loved my parents. My mother is one of my closest friends.

Oh yeah, and Julius and Lavinia are actually Greek/Latin. :H

heehee, I know a guy called Ignatius. He's cool, buti'm sure his cool factor would be amped up if he added Horatio Hagglewort to the mix.

    Sweet names :)
Okay I know this is totally anal, but I'm a name freak and can't help.

The Greek name meaning earth is Gaia (or Gaea, for purists).

Kaia is totally diffrent, it is according to www.behindthename.com.

    KAIA f
    Usage: Norwegian
Scandinavian pet form of KATHERINE. It could also be derived from Old Norse kaða meaning "hen".

Or else it's an alternative/feminie form of Kai

    KAI (2) m,f
    Usage: Hawaiian
    Means "the sea" in Hawaiian.

I dig simple and/or nature names (I don't know how many times I've posted this before?!)

Some examples: Lily, Rain, Summer, Sky, Joy, Willow, River, Zoe, Sophie ...
I also like Maria (pronounced German - Mah-rie-ah), but it's too Christian for me (in Germany Mary's called Maria). :p
I'm always loking for names, not only for future babies, but also for stories...
I love Summer Lee, don't know who posted it, but I like it! :)
Unfortunately I'll never be able to name my child Lily, Rain, Summer, Joy or any of the other names unless I marry a man with an English second name, mine is Lithuanian and it just wouldn't fit. ;)
I'm also very fond of Franziska, don't ask me why, I don't know it's meaning and I can't say the sound is too beautiful, but I just can't get rid of the name...maybe it has got something to do with my past lives... ;)

    Rain

Haha, thanks for bursting my bubble...:)

Yeah, I knew that Gaia meant earth, (thankyou Captain Planet) and I also have heard the scandinavian form before, but I just read somewhere where Kaia was said to be another form of Earth in Greek. I was very excited about this, because that's a much better meaning than "hen." I'll be looking into this, beacuse it's a really cool name.

what would anyone name twins? My mother always thought that twins names should rhyme...Larry & Barry, Cheryl & Carol, Larry & Carrie. Guess if she had ever had triplets they would have been named Larry, Mary,Terri, Harry or something just as dumb. She also thinks twins should dress alike...guess she forgets that twins are 2 different people, not 1.

i would love to have twins, i couldn't say for sure unless i had them, but i don't think i would give them similar names, it would be to hard when i'm angry at them, it would get confusing.

I would love to have boy/girl twins (in a few years of course). I'd name them Artemis and Appollo. I also like Morgan for both sexes, as well as names out of Arthurian legend. Except Lancelot. Pity to the child named Lancelot.
