Name your child after a(n) hotel

    All I am saying is that in writing, at least in classic literature (which is the only thing I know about) they put "an" before words that start with an "h".

    right, honor and hour are two exceptions to the rule, I didnt think of those at the time..... but it just depends on how you say the word, like you said...... the "h" is silent in those words

    well in the american basterdized version of the english language that isnt permitted.

    Thanks Mr. Know-It-All-I-Am-So-Superior-To-You. I don't give a damn about americanized crap. I only care about things that are English and dating from 1900 and before.

    I think the point was if you last name is Hilton, you don't name you kid something dumb like Paris or Sydney Airport.
