Wow, is the Catch 22 movie any good? I've never seen it, but I'm in love with the book. David Lynch directed it, right? Yossarian Lives!

    Anyway, my 3 are...

Ryan's Daughter... an Iriah classic, I haven't seen it since I was a kid but I still remember some amazing scenes.

La Haine... a French movie, set in the slums of Paris, shot in B+W, with a young Vincent Cassels in the lead role. (haven't seen it in about 10 years)

The Mission... DeNiro and Irons in this Cannes Film Festival winner about the Jesuits conversion of South America to christianity. Some amazing locations, great acting and an absolutely stunning score by the maestro, Ennio Morricone.

This made me think of that other great movie by the same director...Delicatessan.

I saw The City of... in the cinema in London about 5 years ago. That's one of the main things I miss about London, The Curzon Soho, a great independent cinema that screened a lot of world movies and had a snug bar upstairs for drinks and conversations afterwards. Wonderful place.

For sure. It's really one of the coolest places to hang out in London. There are a few intellectual artsy wankers at the bar but the main crowd are just people who like a good night out at a good movie and enjoy a warm place to buzz about it afterwards over a pint.

I saw so many great fucking movies there. If you're ever in London...

I just thought of more movies that I wanna see again...

Cry Freedom - About the life of Steve Biko. I haven't seen this in at least 10 years.

Into the West - Heart warming Irish movie about two gypsie children who steal a horse and make their way across the country. Starring Gabriel Byrne.

Boys Don't Cry - Hilary Swank as a girl who wants to be a boy. I have only seen this once and really enjoyed it.

good one, i own that on vhs, but it cuts off 5 minutes before the end... so i'd like to see the end again...

it's not actually a movie, but i've been re-watching flcl on youtube for the last couple days... since the whole series is less than 3 hours i basically just think of it as a movie...
