Matt, I have more than half a brain, and like I have said, you are right for the most part. I am not the biggest fan of Kerry, but I hate Bush. One thing you are wrong about is Kerry and Bush being the same. They have things in common, but they are surely NOT the same.
The name 'Badnarik' is Slovak. This was brought up on a C-SPAN interview after he won the nomination back in May.
Once people start really start voting for third-party candidates, then maybe they might be able to enter the debates. Also, once this starts occuring, there is a chance that they may get some media coveragem and people will actually know who they are.
Karl - I mean that most people do not know what or who the Green Party is. They still think that there are only two parties to vote for. The mainstream media gives them no press, and most people do not know what they are about.
The third parties are never going to enter the debates because the debates are run by a group of corporations. It is not a publicly run thing, it is funded by contributions from corporations. These are the people benefiting from the vacuousness of the political process, the less that is really said, the better they are off.
Well I have no problem with publicly funded debates. I would rather spend my tax dollars on that then something stupid like the war on drugs.
To the people who blame Ralph Nader/3rd party candidates for Al Gore losing the 2000 election: Shut the fuck up!!! You are wrong!! Al Gore and the democrats lost that election because of their attempt to save money. If they would've registered the numerous amount of blacks in Florida to vote, Gore would've easily won that state. (For your info, over 70% of those unregistered blacks would've voted Democrat). Also, Jeb Bush's office is much more to blame than Ralph Nader. His office *somehow* confused tens of thousands of blacks with felons from across the country; if you are convicted of a felony in the state of Florida you can not vote. If you think this was a mistake, then why were Latinos (the majority of Latinos vote Republican), left off the list? Along with all other groups of people? Do not forget that Jeb Bush also promised the state to his brother.
