I think I've backed the cause of Dr. Jack Kevorkian (1928-2011) right from the start. And a lot of things he supported weren't even moral ones. Like harvesting blood from corpses. That actually would solve the blood shortage. I don't back everything he believed though. Like experimenting on prisoners. If I understood him, it seems like that would cause suffering, not eliminate it. Speaking of prisons, he believed people sent to prison should have the option of suicide if they are there for over 2 years. I originally thought more like 10 or 20. But I guess prison must be a worse place than I thought. And he'd know. Because he had been there. I definitely didn't support the last thing he did though. Because active euthanasia crosses the line.
