My take on guns.

I was raised in the south, in our home there where always guns. I was taught that a gun was a tool, one that had to be used with care and respect. When I was four years old I was given a .22 rifle. It was kept in the gun safe just like all my mom and dads but it was “mine”. I only held, saw, or shot it under close adult supervision. When I was six I was given a .410 shot gun for squirrel hunting. Yes I hunt I believe to controlled harvesting of game is necessary to the wellbeing of local wildlife. “My” gun collection continued to grow (it was still kept locked in the safe). I believe my right to own a gun is given my by the 2nd amendment. And for those of you who believe the 2nd was for military purposes, read some quotes from our founding fathers! I believe I a responsible adult wants to own an AK-47 then that’s fine. I do not believe criminals with a violent past should own guns though. Ohh and for those of you who are interested my “collection” now stands at.

1- 20 gage shotgun

3- 12 gage shotguns

1- 10 gage shotgun (BIG)

1-rem model 700 .243

4- .22 rifles

1- .22 mag rifle

1- .270 rem model 700

1- .22 mag pistol

rifles and shotguns are great for hunting...hand-guns are made to kill people, i dont like hand guns

 

idont like the right to bare arms
1. if my arms are bare than it must be hot out.i dont like heat.
2.i dont want everyone to know that i ahve about 0 hairs on my arms so yeaaaa

 

i have guns, but i dont use them. if i hunt, i go the archery route... more fair to the game...

I believe everyone has the right to protect themselves. I feel safer knowing that I can protect my home and family if I need to.

......wildlife was fine before we got here, their equilibrium was fine, the only reason they might grow "overpopulated" now is because we are expanding into their enviroment and we kill predators for sport

i don't like guns - they give people too much power to make life or death decisions for SOMEONE ELSE!!! when i was 15 years old a guy that thought he was cool decided to hold a hand gun to my head because he was a sociopath - and he knew i was against them then he shot a stop sign through the car window (discharged right by my left ear) and said "if you knew how that felt you would love 'em too" i'm not saying that everyone who tries to get a gun for hunting would do that - my ex-husband (who is still one of my best friends) has a few hunting rifles - i am just terrified that it takes more work to be certified as a bartender than it does to get a permit for something as frightening as a gun.......

 

Guns scare the shit out of me.

 

why fuck with guns when you can build a truckbed mounted ballistae..... um I mean when violence is so terrible.... yeah, that's what I meant to say......
