Mxxxxx C????? (not her real name, of course) posted on Facebook at 10 AM, July 18, 2024: "Amen we all need you God back in our lives" She was referring to a picture that said that police need to pray more, especially when on duty. I replied to her: "Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Jainism all are nontheistic and have no personal God. No earthly savior either. There[sic] just a way of life. How does what you say apply to Buddhist, Confucian, Taoist, and Jain Americans? And atheist Americans too. They're citizens too you know. They're residents of the USA, and so the equal protection of the 14th Amendment would extend free speech to them. Abraham Lincoln would agree (and no I said free speech, not voting). And what about Unitarians. They kind of believe in a personal God, kind of not. What's your message to them?"
