oops, missed that, thanks. your best bet would be to, flip the fan around and make it an exhaust, then if you can't get it light-proof, try the bag idea but make a hole in the bag to match up with the EXHAUST fan. you'll still have alittle light leaking tho.......im goin to find some other PC grows....brb.
go to the icmag forum under micro grows, I have looked at a LOT of them but my case is causing the problem.
it leaks light. why dont you just take out the refelctor stuff, and put electircal or duct tape along all the cracks where light is getting out. That should solve your problem.
It is an old sony viao case and it doesnt shut like a reg case. Well I have put tape but light leaks in too many spots. I tried to flip the fan but it is glued in very well. I put a lawn bag around it will a hole in the top.
if you have a goodwill store or thrift store in town go there and get another case. I bet they are dirt cheap too.
yea i went to icmag, and found two of the better PC grows, heres the links.....you might have noticed them already. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40144 http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=59559
I dont think you are going to get a decent yield out of a pc case. That might be good for osme lowryders, clones, or seedlings. But other than that your time and energy is better spent at a job so you can buy some good nugs.
yield is of course going to be minimal and i do see what your saying. But some people do like growing as just a hobby and the harvest is just a bonus.
Yea I have looked through pretty much every pc grow on icmag. A problem for me is just money for supplies. I went down to my basement and made a 13" x 13" x 20" box out of drywall and some shit wood for support. It looks terrible but may work. I will post a pic later. I checked the temp of my pc grow, its at 90F.
Shit! o well. thats the shitty box and I was wondering if I could grow in this, or is there not enough room at the bottom?
Fuck me. I moved it to my room, flipped the fan into an exhuast, made a few small holes in the front, made it lightproof and after about 15 seconds temps were at 96F!!!
You need more ventilation, as a said MJ needs alot of fresh air, plus with intake and exhaust, hot hot/stale air gets exhausted and cooler/freher air get brought in....couple that with a small fan blowing on the plants and voila....shouldn't have much of a problem.
