    HI MY NAME IS MEL.

I really enjoy benzos but truly need some darn help getting off of them. When a 110 pound girl can take 10 bars and feel completely fine I feel that it's a bit messed up. No pun intended. I'm prescribed 90 1mg kpins every month and my ambien but I go through my 90 in like a fucking week. If anyone has any insight on getting off this shit please let me know. I'd be greatly appreciated.

    I'm also on 3 8mg suboxone strips a month.

Hello and welcome Mel. Sorry to hear that you are struggling with addictions.

Acupuncture has a good track record of helping people get off of addictions. If you are interested in this, I may be able to give you some further advice.

A meditation practice can help you lower anxiety and sleep better.

Look in the Opiates section of Hip Forums. I'm pretty sure there are threads on kicking addictions.

Sweetie.. getting off of benzos is unlike any other addiction. They aren't opiates. It can be dangerous to attempt on your own. Please read up on the subject. And the reason you can take so many is that your body has developed a tolerance for them. This is NOT a good thing. Because once that's happened, your body will continually want a higher and higher dosage or you'll experience the very symptoms that had you taking this class of drugs in the first place.

A doctor can set you up on a gradual withdrawal schedule. Cold turkey with benzos is dangerous, depending on how long you've taken them and how high the dosage. The truly criminal thing is they give out benzos like Xanax and Klonopin as if they were candy.. and never talk about what it'll cost you later to get off of them.
