damn man that sounds soo good. i love cooking as well. one of my favorite foods is this pasta i make all the time. its got sun dried tomatoes, sunflower seeds, spinach, tomatoes, noodles and a bunch of herbs and stuff. its soooooooo good. im dying for it now. i should have never typed this
for all you stoners with a sweet tooth and a desire to create a meal with your own two hands, heres a hot cereal i make once in a blue moon....its great for breakfast, but equally good as a dessert or just a tasty snack. boil 1 part water and 1 part coconut milk (i tend to just put a can of canned coconut milk in a pot and then fill up the empty can with water and add that) once its boiling here is what you add to it: -basmati rice (white rice cooks more quickly but i'm sure brown rice would also work, it would just take longer...it would probably be even tastier though) -1 chopped red apple -crushed walnuts, pecans, cashews, or whatever you might prefer. unsalted would be best you let it cook until the rice is done AND the apples are softened but still firm enough you can get them on a fork without them falling off/apart. you -MAY- need to add a little water at some point if it takes too long. when all is said and done you should pour into a colander sitting in the sink and let it drain BRIEFLY. the trick is to get off excessive liquid while still keeping enough to keep the now porridge-like rice and apples plenty moist and slightly mushy. but you're not done yet. add small amounts of nutmeg, cinnamon, and even clove if you want to, and mix it all very well. remember, everything in this recipe is elastic and simply done to taste. now all you need to do is sweeten it. i tend to alternate between honey and brown sugar. both work well. a combination isnt bad, either. this stuff is seriously delicious, even if you dont like rice too very much...its kinda like oatmeal only way fucking better.
