was just busting ur balls about the narative thing...

But if it's supposed to be personal it doesnt have to sound soooo cliche and vague

I think u missed what i was saying about colors... if u use more drastic gradiance it'll make it look like ur looking into space, not at a flat sheet. It's possible to have colors represented equally prominent and still make them distinct. Like my eye gets too confused trying to find what the artist intended the focal point to be.

I'm really not trying to be an ass, just sharing with a fellow artist. I hope u see it as constructive critisism, not "I think ur work sucks".

it only souns vague because if i explained it in detail not everybody woul understand my work for one, some people may be offended and some may feel alienated, instead i make the description more simple,so people can jsut look at the work and enjoy it!

i see what you mean about the colour, but think that the pictures dont really do my work much justice,it looks alot clearer in real life

not at all, as crappy as art as a subject is when it comes to marks... at the end of the day in my experience they want more "real" things for you to have worked from, for instance... did you work from still lives, from models or anything to create your composition? - to get the figurative parts of your piece? - did you set up lots of background information behind it? research artists etc?

what i have found is you have to put a heck of a lot of background work into your final piece, for example figurative sketches, still lives... they want you to work from real things, and make them interesting on the page - your religion is very real to you yes, we know this you know this and anyone religious knows this.. but... when it comes to getting the grades they want to see you've worked from things you saw, as sucky as that is. doesn't matter how much emotion you put into it, doesn't matter how much meaning it has to you.. at the end of the day they'll not give you the grades if you didn't work from the physical world in some way... of course, if you did do.. well then.. i don't know what to say?

and i'm not saying thats fair, but thats the only way they can base their grounds to grades...

A triptych (trifold, trilogy, etc.) is a painting or a carving that has three pieces, all side-by-side. They're ususally hinged together, so they can be folded open and closed. You see them a lot in churches, and they were often used as alterpieces during the Renaissance and throughout the Middle Ages.

I totally fell in love with this one in particular. The colours are so vivid and in-your-face! I ADORE colour and you've used it so particularly well. <3 Awesome, awesome, AWESOME job!
