I know crates full of of Finnish bands YOU don't even know... Horna, Beherit, Catamenia, Azaghal (Kuolema Kristukselle!!), Ajattara, Impaled Nazarene, Thyrane, ...And Oceans, Satanic Warmaster, Clandestine Blaze...

And I'm not even talking about Nightwish, Finntroll, Ensiferum, and Sentenced...

 

Amorphis and Korpiklaani are fine finnish bands as well.

 

Ah, yes, I forgot Amorphis. Tales from the thousand lakes rock! Don't know Korpiklaani though.

... and of course Children of Bodom, but they're not quite my favourites.

 

Indeed, Tales of the 1000 lakes is my favourite album by them. I don't like Children of Bodom too much though, just isn't my thing.
Korpiklaani does a show tomorrow in Arnhem, it's some kind of finnish folk metal with bagpipes. Great show to dance and get drunk at
The singer also sang in Shaman.

 

I´ve heard all of these, but listened only Sentenced, Nightwish, Ajattara... it´s not my kind of music

Yes, I heard about it a few years ago when this band got media attention in the Netherlands. Stupid bandname imo.

 

Well the Bodom case is right know a big thing in Finnish media, trial has just started and the accused is one of the four youngsters who were "attacked". The biggest murder mystery in Finland´s history is about to resolve.
