I've been watching The Mighty Hercules, the cheesy old effects and corny villains are a blast!

The Mighty Hercules, ha! My favourite is The Mask (of Vulcan), the lamest villain ever. It's a bucket on his head!

The Mask: "You'll never get my mask off, Hercules."

Herc flings arrow, bucket goes flying off The Mask's head. Tadada! Herc carts off The Mask to prison, or wherever it is he takes the villains after each episode. The prison isn't very secure, they're always back by the next episode!

You're so right about the mask, very flimsy!

I think Herc must take them to the lounge on Mount Olympus for a refreshing cocktail, ha!

Ha! He gives them a stern talking to and they assure him they'll behave. Herc never catches on when they're right back to it.

What other villains were there? Wilhemene? She always showed up to harass Helena. And the evil wizard Daedelus of course, with his crafty disguises which usually entailed using a higher voice and sporting a fake white beard (with his hair still black).

Yes, the same villains recycled over and over. The parole officer in the prison is the most lenient I've ever seen. :D

Oh and there was Otis too, he was pretty cool. He could assume any shape, some very scary monsters!

Omigosh, Hercules! My brothers and I watched that as kids. Otis was the Chameleon wasn't he? The Mask of Vulcan… a bucket, lol! He should have weighed it down with some rope with rocks tied to the end. Or made it out of iron instead of aluminum! It never stayed on longer than a few minutes. Just enough time for him to boast at how indestructible he was in it.

Bugs Bunny was another one we watched. I think I disliked more characters than I liked. Bugs was a favourite and Foghorn Leghorn especially when the little genius was in the segments, the little kid with the huge glasses, Egghead. Jr? Was he Miss Prissy's son? I may be getting characters mixed up. And Wile E. Coyote. Not too bright, but certainly determined! Let's face it, more of us were rooting for him than the (annoying) Road Runner.

Nickelodeon used to have some pretty amazing cartoons. Ren & Stimpy was always a favorite but they had some weird foreign ones in the 80s, like Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea. Menudo even did the theme song. LOL
