    no,not hemp.just embrodirary thread I had in my house^_^I just tied it on to the top of the dread and swooped it round it.

    back combing, i also spent 4 hours crocheting, but not just wrapping around the base of the root continuously i worked my way up hold up ill get one in here

    ^^they look good they are just short! mine are short too and loose, i need to have at them with a crochet hook =D i'm at 3 months as well.

    btw if i had blond dreads i would be dying them all sorts of crazy colors... maybe it's just cuz it's so hard to dye my dark dark hair that i love bleaching and dying so much....

    mine are brown? when i did the crocheting i worked my way from the bottom up to the tip

    they look dirty blond but i'll trust you to know the color of your own hair :p

    i prob won't crochet my tips because i don't want to blunt them. i just want to work the loose hairs in...

    i put a bunch of beads in and combed a few together so they are looking more dread-y now.

    yeah i didnt mean crochet the tips but work your way from the scalp to the tips, use a 1 mm hook or under
