Perhaps you should read the 17 pages, then you might realise how silly your post sounded;)

I LOVE my dreads, this has nothing to do with me "given" a fuck, it's not a fight the power thing in my book, I just need to a change atm, and my dreads might be one of the factors that will be changing..

    :)

Nah man, it's all gone to shit atm, so i'm just trying to assess what, why & when these changes need to be made.
The last few of my posts have made me sound like I hate them, far from it, they are me.
    :)

MEISTER good to have you back dude :D Sorry to hear you are having troubles :( I hope everything turns out ok in the end- it always does :)

I learnt from a bad relationship to never ever say 'I'll see how it goes'. I'd like to apply this to your dread situation, if you are having doubts, decide once and for all- cut or no cut. But I think that dreads are a totally different thing to relationships. You can fotget about your dreads. I'm sure if you forget about your dreads completely (not cutting obv :p) and sort out the priorites of the other shizz to sort out be that either in your head or practically, I think you'll find you'll eventually get round to everything, and then be able to look back at your dreads and think 'I am strong now, now bow down to my awesome dreads' xD ^^

My dreads give me strength, knowing that I am who I am and I can do anything if I put all my heart into it. I don't think getting rid of your dreads will help, it'll just make you feel shittetrtetrer. So yea, instead of considering to cut them off, 'see how it goes' trying to forget about them. When I did this, I had a whole load of free time suddenly jump out at me, then I was so busy filling that free time, all the things I was worrying about with my dreads (like loose hairs loose dread bodies etc) sorted themselves out over a period of time :)

So yea, see how it goes forgetting about them ^^

Whenever you complain about your dreads I can never see what the hell you're on about. They just look like dreads. I'm glad for your dreads' sake that they don't have feelings, otherwise I'd be feeling really sorry for them by now. They're fine, give the poor things a break.

  Huh? What about all the new growth? There must be a fair bit of new hair that's grown since you started them...how does the state of that have anything to do with all the 'problems' you caused them? Sorry...I feel like I'm being a bit of a cow towards you but I really don't get what you're on about  I know you had all the wax and stuff before, but your dreads are still there aren't they? The new growth doesn't have wax in, and they look fine... quit your complaining or shave your head or throw away your mirror...or...I dunno..! Argh! lol

Alex I just wan say, they look amazing and I really really hope you don't cut. They look healthy despite what you might think. Honestly, I think people tell you all these things like "too much backcombing can ruin your dreads" (that's what you did, right? over-backcombed?) but really, I think they are all hypotheticals and clearly not true expert opinions and all that. I know people who backcombed like crazy and they have great dreads. I think going by looks alone, your dreads seem healthy and happy. But it's of course your hair and up to you what you do with it, just my $.02 and I rly like having you around here <3
