no not at all,,i think annie is trying to piss me off.. just because i dont articulate myself as well as others here is no reason to accusse dilli of bein vain,, nor is it reason for you to assume im trying to piss people off here.. duhh fuckin huh?/ i dont know about dreads?? alrighty then ,,, what i was implying is that they were locked forevermore, they only need to be loved and nurtured for eternity.. scuse the fuck outta me for not articulating better.. love n light
Well, if you don't articulate yourself, people WILL assume you're an asshole. As I did. That's the point of articulation.
man,, i articulate well face to face,, but here my brain out runs my typing 10 to 1..:& i do my best.. but im not gonna be provoked an not respond.. it dont matter wether i type 1 sentance where ten are apropriate.. the ones that know who an what we are know,, those that dont dont.. those that asume,,well you know?? n-e way,, its just the way it is.. luvin all yall dreddie folk,,as i have since before most of yall was born.. love n light..
yep, mine were like that at that stage and I was doing the palm rolling thing. Then they loosened up again and re-dreaded themselves, there are many different phases and you'd be foolish to think you've now got 'dreads' just because it looks that way. Every mature dread head you meet will tell you to expect the unexpected and do what works for YOU and YOU only, that's part of the journey. Also by 'fell out' I don't think Annie meant literally fell out, the dreads just loosen and fall out of being 'dreaded' then tighten up and shrink again on their own. Hence the wonderful kinks, loops, bumps, curls and stuff I'm enjoying at 8 months. And Bumble, for four months your hair looks fantastic, I don't think I've seen many dreads at four months look that tight. Hillbilly, if your girl's dreads are tighter than that at four months then she's lucky, but palm rolling probably has nothing to do with it.
^thank you sweet! I'm a firm believer that dreads come on their own and speeding up the process really won't do anything because they will come loose again. dreads are not suppose to look "nice" until years after you start them. You really don't realize how far along your dreads get until you stop and stare at them in the mirror. I was thinking about putting a hemp hair wrap around one of my dreads. may be i'll do that this weekend.
gotta luv people speakin on my behalf... i have had several of mine for a couple years now,,, n yes they are kinked n lumpy n bumpy,,,, yup mine r tight n yup i know they will loosen n do there own thing,,,, they already do,,,,,,... reason for rolling several hours a day at first,,,, was riding time,,, something to do,,,, but also the kind of work we do necessitated the expedited dreads....had to be under some sorta control ... nope what works for me aint gonna work for yall n for everyone there hair will do whats right for them n in the end come out as it should....... n on that note i have to go n gather back a few hairs from a couple of my lil thievin bastards...
thank you all. last night I did a round of sewing the hair back into the dreads. It takes forever, but it feels better when it's done!
