That's a fairy respectably Anarchist opinion, but one I don't really share. I can see where you're coming from, but as a socialist and pacifist, I'm more than happy to throw my lot in with a socialist party that was formed by the anti-war movement. Scepticism is healthy though, and I retain that, but for these elections I'm backing RESPECT, as a new party which we have yet to see develop, all the way. We'll see where this goes from after then, but I want to help it to have the best chance of not forming as you say parties do, by being a part of it from the beginning and encouraging democracy and left-wing values, which must not be sold out on as Labour have!

Debating the merits of RESPECT isn't really for this thread though, I didn't intend this one to plug RESPECT, just to show you all my poem and poster. In the wider world that will be what the poster will be used for. It's up on the RESPECT website now, I'm still waiting to hear back from the local press, but I may be doing some Iraqi prisoner abuse street theatre next week, hoping to attract some media attention to that. Let's see....

RESPECT will not be democratic in anyway, the democracy that we have is giving up our choice and participation in the political process to someone in governement, we are entrusting RESPECT if they got into power, with the right to decide what is best for us...just the same as anyother government group.

in the words of george orwell

"The party is not concerned with perpetuating itself, who weilds the power is not important, providing that the hierarchical structure remains the same!"

Respect are not challenging anything about the way this country runs, they are mearly supporting and taking an active role in a corrupt system, which serves the interests of those who rule.
