okay I looked even more up........ second city CHICAGO was around since the late 50s........

many people came up through there like bill murray, john belushi, gilda radner, cheri oteri, will farrell.........

second city TORONTO was around since the 70s....... people like dan aykroyd, john candy, martin short, yadda yadda........ the television series started in 76.

SNL started in 75, but it used alot of the second city players, like dan aykroyd from toronto, and jim belushi and gilda radner from chicago....... then bill murray the next year, after chevy chase left...
