I do agree with VG though that there is more truth to the story than a lot of people, men and women, want to admit. It's our primitive side though, and in my opinion it's usually the dumbest of us who actually act or make decisions based on that primitive side.

If OP's story was real, which it obviously is not, she wouldn't exactly be top of the food chain among females being how dependent on perceptions she seems to be and unable to support her man and fix the problem.

If I ever start mopping around about anything stupid my woman usually will give me a swift kick in the pants and tell me to stop complaining and do something about it, as I do to her.

 

I find pop Darwinism to be neither secret-knowledge, nor threatening. I mean, women openly say it all the time: they want a guy who's strong, and brings home the bacon. Ok,,,I get it.

Edit: If anything, my experience is a bit opposite. I see a bunch of guys dishing out favors, walking hand in hand with women in shopping malls, with huge biceps, getting into fights to impress them, driving flashy cars, etc.

And it turns out the alphas are just being used, and women end up fucking sneaky guys like me on the DL. Or, at least they are also fucking guys like me; though it's true I'm not some kind of frail, nerdy, dork.
