First of all, it's wrong to intentionally act condescending towards another simply because they partake in something that does no harm to others. Why would you want to be friends with somebody that holds such fucked up biased views? We all hold certain biases, but clearly there's some that are more extreme than others. I don't know the entire situation, but if there's a chance this person actually cares about you and truly believes smoking is doing more harm than good for you, then their only saying it because they care. However, if they hold this stance towards all ganja smokers, regardless of why and when they smoke then that's wrong and nobody needs that limited mindset present in their lives.

So, what you need to ask yourself is:
Is this individual genuinely concerned, because of they way in which you use herb (what you use it for)? (ie. they fear you're abusing it)
OR
Are they just falling victim to the the mass hysteria built around herb and how it is unconditionally "bad"? Which has formed their opinion on not just your use, but anybodies use of the herb without taking into account purpose. (Purpose being why one smokes)
