I've had a number of iPhones, still on iPhone 4 though and I have 2 iPads and the battery life is shocking. My iPad stays on 100% for a little whiles and then it starts dropping by the second -.-
Androids not much better. I've rooted my tablet and phone and killed a lot of default apps which were sucking a lot of power, and as long as I have the gps and wireless off when I'm not using them, it can easily last the day. Killing your gps and wireless will help a lot too
i've never owned an apple product. my asus laptop has terrible battery 'life' too. which it makes up for in raw computing power. so i just never run it off the battery. i should get a phone again one of these days, but i find them annoying, and the cheapest carrier contract i can find with anyone i'd want it with, is way more expensive then worth the amount i'd ever use the damd thing. except maybe to play games on and see what time it is when waiting for the bus.
by the way, i have one. i love it aside from the fact the battery dies super fast. and TWO people needed to borrow my charger today to recharge their iPhone 5's.
It seems like everytime I update my 4s the battery life is shorter and shorter. I have a notice for another update but I've been putting it off. I'm thinking of getting the samsung galaxy 5 when it comes out
Make sure your Bluetooth feature is disabled under the settings option. That drains the battery really fast especially if there is no external hardware utilizing the bluetooth. When it's on, it is constantly looking for external hardware and it diminishes the battery quickly.
My iPad seems to last pretty long on battery. Some versions of iOS are worse than others in regards to battery life. I haven't updated to iOS 7.1 yet because of that reason but I'm about to, and see what happens. Worst thing that could happen is I have to jailbreak and downgrade back to iOS 7
I took my iPhone to the jungle before and I managed to keep its battery alife for 10 days. Not too shabby if you ask me.
For one, I didn't use GPS, play games or make phonecalls. Just used it to take a photograph every now and then. And turned it off regularly to save battery life.
I heard something the other day about a big screen phone having a larger battery and a longer battery life. Maybe they were talking about the iPhone 6?
LOL, I wonder how long it will be before they upgrade phones to the point that they are laptops that make phone calls, both in function and size.
