I grew up here. I've ALWAYS been free. I'll not give it up for those whom I referenced OR those home grown types either.

 

The right wing is always making it sound like we have to keep up our guard against sharia law. And I suppose we do. But has there been a single case in the US of any state or local government giving in to these Muslim demands? It seems to me that it's mainly the right trying to gain power by making us afraid of a non-issue.

 

I'm sure that's true. It happens all the time. Muslims=oooo scared. Ebola= oooo scared. My remarks were because of what I saw on 60 minutes

in a country that now seemingly has enough of the radical muslims to start calling for the end of their parliamentary system. And to begin telling citizens how to act in neighborhoods of their adopted country.

But, I agree with you about the constant stirring of useless topics by the media.

 

I missed 60 Minutes but maybe I can watch it tonite. Sounds very interesting.

believes it necessary to kill others for their own reasons. NOT ALL adherents OF THAT PARTICULAR RELIGION. Some believe that the freedom

I have seen a documentary about it. It is appalling. I'm really surprised that British society is putting up with this shit.
I don't think Muslims would dare to do the same in the US. They all know Americans have the right to carry guns and fire in self-defense.
They are tightening immigration now as a result, but it sucks for non-muslims since its collective punishment of a sort.

 

What you saw on 60 minutes, Muslims holding signs wanting to end democracy is tolerated, because we do shit on them in the rest of the world, theres a certain amount of guilt there. If instead of Muslims holding signs about sharia law it was Nazis holding signs about erradicating non Aryan races how differently would everyone else react?

Its a threat that can culminate in and bombs on trains and such, but never into WWIII type stuff.

Surely religion is a part of culture? I don't think it's at all easy to separate the two, especially in this case, because without Islam there wouldn't be any concept of Sharia law, Jihad etc.
