Christians prefer to steal from one another, Muslims prefer to kill each other. It just depends on your neighborhood which strategy is better.

To satisfy your curiosity, befriend some Muslims, enough to discuss in depth their beliefs, and read their holy book. That's how I learned but you have no good reason to take it from me.

Sure. So it's the newcomers who are at fault when those there before them defend their territory with force. Then tell that to those pouring across the border. :-/

    Hmm.

Sharia is a really broad concept. Only the most fundamentalist of Muslims practice every aspect of it.

I have a good friend who is Muslim. He's very americanized. Who are you to say he's not a Muslim because he doesn't observe every aspect of Sharia law?
Muslims can cherry pick just as well as Christians

how many? i assumed they were just individuals like everyone else, so it seems like i would need to mingle with all of them to get a truly accurate picture.

sure can't mingle with them around here anyway. a muslim would have to be pretty masochistic to want to live in this redneck infested shithole.

Muslims from different nations and different regions of these individual nations are very diverse. A person from Saudi Arabia or UAE will act very different from say someone from Lebanon or Somalia. Some are from very liberal "university" cultures and others are from poor agricultural areas. You kind of have listen for a little while to see where they are coming from. I don't know where you live but the Detroit and Toledo areas are full of Muslim/Arab restaurants and shops. Some are run by Palestinians and others by Iraqis. Detroit also has a very large Chaldean Christian community from Iraq. If you go to Downey in California, the Iraqis hang out with the Armenians. In Denver the Muslims might be from Iraq or Afghanistan. Colorado also has lots of Kurds who are Muslim but not Arabs. Turkish people are Muslim but not Arabs. The same is with the Persians and Albanians. They all have different foods and some similar foods. Religious holidays are all similar and will have devoted people right along with the liberal ones. Where are you? Sounded to me like you might be in … well I'd better not say that! I'm in Indiana and it's redneck as fuck. These morons voted for Ted Cruz. They are even more conservative than the Trump followers.

yeah, ohio. it's probably a lot like indiana, although i've kind of lived all over ohio and my current location is way more aggressively rednecky than anywhere else i've been.

Iowa likes to think they are north of Alaska and south of the Mason Dixon.

The interesting thing about these Extra-Conservative Republican Evangelical states is they have the highest Opioid addiction and highest incidents of AIDS. The county with the highest AIDS rates is in Indiana where Mike Pence hails from.

It's a simple point, but I can see how it could be missed. If a person follows some of Christ's teachings but dismisses some -- is that person a Christian? No. I don't care what they "identify" as, with an all knowing God there's no such thing as cherry picking. People may be fooled by it, but...

Lord,” someone asked Him, “will only a few people be saved?”

Jesus answered, 24“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able. 25After the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’

But he will reply, ‘I do not know where you are from.’

26Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’

27And he will answer, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers.’

Sounds like your Jesus is a true racist bigot who hates people from other nations. I also read he will only let 144000 people enter heaven. All others have to wait in limbo. And the rapture is not mentioned once in the Bible, but the American Christians sure like to use it to control people with lesser education. You see, the more money in that offering basket, the more European sports cars the preacher can buy.
