Mumble rap and country come to mind. Deathcore, metalcore, nu metal, and--I'm gonna get blasted for this on here--pretty much anything pre-1980 that isn't The Clash, Sabbath, Priest, Chuck Berry, or The Beach Boys. But most of the classic rock stuff that everyone adores--Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Beatles, all that kind of stuff--just doesn't appeal to me. Plus, my three favorite genres of music are punk, metal, and hip hop, all of which were either non-existent or in their embryonic stages at that time period.
I like music that you can remember and hum as you walk in public. That leaves Rap and Jazz out, because your brain has screened them out of your memory.
