Rush 2112 Black Sabbath 'Black Sabbath' Jonny Winter 'Frankenstein' Grateful Dead 'Dark Star' or ' Infrared Roses' if you can find it.
I listened to Rush for a lot of my trip last time. I listened to Fly By Night. Didn't really get into 2112 too much tripping.

animal collective are great tripping. their old, avant garde experimentation is some of the finest music recorded last decade. take a listen. but really, after hearing the dead on some fine doses, they're the way to go and honestly, the besst music to listen to while tripping. the music began to slowly morph, twist and take in all different directions, literally! but it was the best, a true mind melter!
sounds like a trip to me http://grooveshark.com/s/Native/2ArxVH?src=5 "Well there's no place like this around It's where we go when we don't want to come down It's a place to rest, a never ending bliss It never lets us down It's our endless state of mind A part of frozen peaceful time It's where we started out, it's all we talk about When we're there we're feeling fine"

Grateful Dead,Phish, Tool, Hallucinogen, the list goes on. Don't forget The Beatles!
Boards of Canada: all their albums, but the best is Geogaddi They're borderline ambient, because their stuff has a beat but is just awesome background music that puts you in such an awesome mindset for tripping. Otherwise you can never go wrong with some Pink Floyd. If you also appreciate the musicians musicality, soul and feeling you need to listen to some Lee Ritenour, Fourplay, Maceo Parker or The Manhattan Transfer. Even if you don't like the music it's worth a listen because the emotion you can pick up on with soulful music is just absolutely astonishingly amazing. Edit: And Tool. Tool are just brilliant. A Perfect Circle are pretty damn sweet too

I guess a lot of people hate them (I posted a thread a couple of weeks back) but I found Radiohead REALLY trippy, they have stuff you never heard. Also the Beatles got good stuff. Their album Revolver nicknamed the "Acid album" is intense. And anything after that stage really, they promoted acid a lot. Revolver was just the first to be influenced by it. SGT. Peppers is cool, and some other tracks in there later years. Especially whenever they use the sitar (Love you George!)
The Clash with Ghetto Defendant. Freaking trippy IMO. The beginning is hilarious. I tripped Sunday night and heard this song for the first time then, loved it, listened to the part where he says "do the worm on acropolis slam dance cosmopolis enlighten the populace" about 35 times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWc1-QdNe30"]Ghetto Defendant by The Clash - YouTube
