Thanks for the OP Draw. I'm unclear if you think today's hippies are different or if it's history trying to repeat itself.

Nevermind, the important thing is, there are a lot of people around these days who can be said to have at least some hippie values. And, as you've discovered, there is a vibrant underground music scene. Isn't that incredible! I'm involved in putting on small (200-300 people) psytrance events twice-yearly, mostly in the forest way out in the country as well as a few smaller events. Sometimes I'll be sitting somewhere off to the back of the dance floor, tripping, sonic waves, beautiful people, whatnot, and think, I can't believe I'm here! I can't believe there are so few older people knowing about these scenes.

I've been going to 6-8 festies a year for the past 3 years. Personally, I've seen very little police presence at these small events or at larger ones such as Sonic Bloom, Unify, etc.

I'm listening a lot to Solar Fields, Aes Dana, H.U.V.A. Network.
