I just replaced 2-12'' speakers on my speaker tower. Think Im going to leave them with the Peavey 12'' Power cap: 1400 W and not put no mids in cause I keep blowing them out. Ill leave them in for show but they will not be active..

 

cant you use like a bass blocker or some type of resistor to cut down on the wattage going to them?thats what we do with car stereo systems and i dont see why it wouldnt work on a house system

yeah I could. seems like there is a massive amount of vibration being held back , since that signal dont pass its building in the woof. idk really.. It a main guitar speaker., and while I use it for pa stuff often this isnt what its intended for. We have other monitors to pass the other instruments and music, accompaniments it seems as if this speaker strictly wants to be guitar only.
