Seriously, there are douche bags, and there are people who smile and nod. If someone is that bothered by the way other people act, they fall into the lower levels of the douche bag category.
Who the fuck 'acts' trippy? What kind of major douche bag would do such a thing? I mean unless were talking about 16 year old Pink Floyd fans who do nothing but smoke pot and bitch about being depressed and how their parents found a stash and took away the PS3. Your either out of your mind or your stuck in it. Man, how I loathe sociology.

  3. Yeah, I actually read him thinking he meant SOBER people ACT trippy, which gave me a giggle, otherwise I totally see your point RELAYER, this is reminding me that I'm in need of another mushroom trip. I once saw a painting of a monkey holding a mushroom and all these words and signs coming from its mouth, it was very powerful, I'm going to try to find it..

I think it still speaks, exactly the same to everyone. Just people are afraid to listen, which is pretty understandable. It will take time before everyone can clearly say what exactly 'it' is in a way that will be universally comprehensible. But, we're getting closer.

You are neglecting that a whole entire universe can exist in a molecule. Saying it's just a chemical does not cheapen it. Saying it's a chemical is simply signifying how it is possible that such a intelligence actually can exist in a mushroom.

I read your long post john, and it was a pleasure to read. I hadn't ever thought of conceptualizing "spirit" (agreed that word choice is important because of connotations that people have in their minds about words; ie, they probably think we're talking about Casper the Friendly Nature Ghost) as an infinitely shattered entity of fractal crystal liquid coating everything and in fact BEING everything around us. That's a beautiful way to look at it. Just as this tao (this word is what i tend towards) contains pleasant lessons filled with laughter and tactile pleasure and lovely visual geometry, so it too has the higher "courses" in the spiritual university. I believe that you may very well simply be done with Life 101, and be moving onto some advanced courses where no longer is it assumed that you require gentle caring and goading to capture the lesson of the day.

The tiger roars so loud your ears hurt, and then disembowls you, and as you stare at your inside falling out of you, you realize it wants to show you something. It's a test of your ability to *pierce* your own ego-vision and see through the pain to the real meat in the oyster.

This is how I think of it.

Before lsd, I thought people who were praying were just talking to themselves.

After lsd, I think people who are praying are talking to themselves. What is there, that is not god?! God by definition is everything that ever was, is, and will be. God is this.

    Jane prays to God, becomes

    God prays to God, becomes

    God God's to God, becomes

    god god god god

And in this way I have in a sense remained atheist, in that I don't point to things and say "there is this stuff, but then there is other stuff called "God" which controls this first stuff and made it"; since god is simply anything and everything, it is therefore also nothing. But I do not live life today going around saying "god is nothing, tralalala, silly religions, lewl" rather I live being constantly shocked at the ways that "god" (now one must decide on a new name for it, for even that word has connotations of "different" and "outside all this") chooses to manifest itself in the things all around, from a skin rash, to a good bowl of soup, to my friend feeling depressed, to me having gas, to conflict in iraq, to a beautiful field of snow, to the Pleides, etc. It's everything! Praise to everything :)

It's to the point where I don't know how to answer when people ask me "do you believe in god?" I feel like laughing and saying "Well I sort of have to since he just asked me if I believe in god"

Using the term 'spirits' is a useful expedient, and often people will listen and learn if you attribute human emotions to these 'spirits. ' Aint' nothing wrong with it if you can help people out. Keep at it, I say!

    Merry Enlightenmas!:cheers2:
