Love em, listening to uprising right now. The lyrics are a little empty to me (what are they protesting against, the man again?), but the tune is amazing. Butterflies and hurricanes is great as well.
lovem, but not as keen on the new album... bit "queeny"... they are still epic tho, in in my eyes and a must see live, if i ever get the chance.... my fiance is going to see them supporting U2 in October.... i wish i was going, but i will miss it by about a week.... :banghead:
Very hit and miss. I love some tracks and have to skip others. The new album actually isn't bad, I do like Uprising. It's a bit more of the same really
yup... feel the same way... gonna get it anyway... my boyfriend is going to see them supporting U2 in USA this October (next month) and my daughter is seeing the same show but when it comes to the O2!!!! i waannaaaa go tooooo :nopity: is that a violin i hear?????
Muse were good years and years ago, When Origin Of Symmetry came out. Then they took a big turn and starting writing futile pop efforts. Some tracks from the later albums are alright, but you can tell they write to please the masses, not themselves as musicians. Exogenesis, Knights of Cydonia and Stockholm Syndrome are all worthy songs mind.
ooooh... dunno... think they are writing to please themselves other than they may be under a lot more pressure to write something... probably more for the contract rather than the masses.... i think we can say that we will hear more good stuff from them... besides.. they are still epic... and anyway... what do you know????? you're just a big fat LESBIAN pants!!!! :biggrinjester::leaving: (don't worry honey.... i'll tire of myself soon)
Let's hope so. I don't know how I feel to be referred to as a 'lesbian pants' lol But yeah in fairness I agree, there is still some kick left in the old horse. I do think they will always write some pretty good songs. Plus, they are a lot better than anyone else out there at the moment, maybe bar one or two groups.
