I would think that people with the most awareness of the effectiveness of supplements would be those whose job performance depends on it, such as professional body builders and athletes who compete for money and prestige. Some of those people are experts at gauging the effectiveness of performance enhancing substances. They probably have better judgment about the effectiveness pill vitamins and other supplements compared with a casually informed person who buys them at the supermarket.
The trainer that I met with for my current routine suggested taking a vita pack containing a number of individual vitamins....not a multivitamin. He did not recommend a specific brand though....I also find the vitapacks to be crazy expensive!
^I use that everyday... but the chocolate one. I add it to my protein shakes. Good stuff, but expensive. I disagree that ALL multivitamins are bad -- just most. Whole food multivitamins that are not loaded with synthetic additives are good.
