How many women here have had male partners who have multiple orgasms? That would be a man who does not have any down time between orgasms, the same as one of the women's patterns. In studies they usually require orgasms happen within a specific length of time, but I think it should include men who just don't go down after orgasm and have at least two in a session.
The more you research male multiple orgasms, the more I think it's guys just discovering edging. As far as multiple bottom to top and back down orgasms, similar to female response, physiology says uh uh to 99% of us...
No, not edging. Full on ejaculatory, full on orgasm. The real thing. There are three or so studies posted on pubmed. In my opinion the best is by Dunn and Trost but it still lacks. I feel the best studies are those where partners volunteer their male partners as this gives corroboration for any information provided. I don't agree with counting orgasms without ejaculation as this is a learned technique in many cases and I'm only curious about natural, no effort orgasms. Maybe better defined as maintaining erection after orgasm and just continuing on until the next orgasm. And the next and so on. By the way, there a reports that men who have lost ejaculatory function through treatment for prostate cancer sometimes experience multiple orgasms as well.
True. I guess we need a definitive view of orgasm, too. I mean, edging, you can have any number of 70-80% orgasms, that's the whole idea....but full through and keep going to the next orgasms...that may be one of the unicorns Noah left out of the ark. Maybe it's similar to the dry orgasms experienced pre-puberty....I had no experience there, but lore has it that multiples could have been experienced before ejaculations occured.
The main thing with having multiple orgasms is being able to pay attention to the partner full time with no self control or moderation needed. Just pleasure the partner and the orgasm come when they come.
My bias is that if men ignored all the propaganda about men being broken with PE or whatever, they might pay attention to what is really happening with themselves and realize they can continue without worry. I watch for multiple orgasms in porn and have found a couple of possibly valid videos of multiple orgasms. One is called "My first virgin on video" or some such. The porn star gives the virgin fan oral sex and remarks that he only lasted 40 seconds, but completely ignores the fact he is still hard and ready to go. I think this expectation that the man is done after one is not helpful. She eventually gets 4 orgasms from him. I'm curious to hear from the ladies. Research into male sexual function seems to be taboo. We know that some women have cluster orgasms, some have serial orgasms where they remain at a high level of arousal and have repeat orgasms and we know that some women are "one and done" as most men are assumed to be. We have endless articles and studies. But nothing on men who have multiple orgasms. I'd like to see it come out of the closet.
Refractory periods are apparently different for different people. For my brother, me and my wife's ex fiance and others it might cause a short pause between orgasms, but does not stop the erection. If a man can stay erect after orgasm, it would be worth just continuing to have sex and see whether another orgasm comes along. I typically go straight for a second orgasm as that seems to make the erection longer lasting, no need for constant stimulation to stay up. I think it is because the level of engorgement is high enough to squish the vessels under the skin of the penis that drain blood, locking the blood in. It has not been unusual for me to remain erect after my partner is satisfied. I have a photo my wife to be took of me walking around her apartment fully aroused after we'd had a fun romp.
