We have already suffered the impact of 2 years of uncertainty. Things should soon get a whole lot better.
I suppose that there will be no poverty, crime or pain this time next decade because the EU was such a problem.
Now we have removed the shackles, our future is in our hands. On the points that you raised. Their has been crime in the UK since long before we joined the EEC and going back even further, the crime rate in London (particularly murders) in the Victorian era was far higher than it is today, so we are still lumbered with our criminals. Regarding pain, we need to work hard to reverse the current economic mess, so some people will take a pride in the country, while others will moan and not want to get out of bed and do some work. So no real change there either. Poverty is subjective. Look at Victorian times again if you want to see real poverty. We just don't seem to see that our current problems mainly lie with our import policy. Importing goods from China is by far the biggest problem, since it is a one way street, giving us cheaper goods due the the wages differential, while our industries have collapsed. The real problem that people fail to grasp is that we effectively pay for these goods in sterling ans since China has no use for a pile of foreign banknotes, they are forced to invest the money back in the UK. This has played a major part in the rise of property prices in London, where China own around 30% of prime property. You don't need a degree in economics to see what is happening as this property is rented and the rent money falling back into the hands of the Chinese owners, who will in turn be forced to invest it back in the UK. The situation is largely out of control already and developing into a spiral. I could spend hours depressing you with the problems, but to resolve them we will need a strong government. That will be the determining factor regarding our future.
