oooh, piaf those look good! not really a "muffin" but i like toasted english muffins with marmalade! my sister went to england for a year though and she said the english muffins they have there are pretty different from what we have in the states, though, so i guess what i'm talking about isnt very english despite the name. not english, and not a muffin, but very yummy
I know they're not muffin muffins, but I gotta say I love english muffins for breakfast. Blueberry and banana muffins when it comes to real muffins. Gosh, that was a lot of muffins in two sentences..
What do you put on your English muffins, Kozmic? I loooove English muffins with ham and cheese melted on or meatballs and mozzerella. Mmm.
Ooo meatballs and mozzarella sounds nice, I've never had that.. I normally have either just butter or preferably scrambled eggs, maybe a bit of cheese.. and ketchup, haha. I put ketchup on everything, it's sickening.. :leaving:
I always have English muffins, I sometimes have those and don't have any bread, lol. But when we make meatballs for dinner, I always save a few so I can have a couple of meatball sandwiches on my muffins.
WTF. I've never heard of english muffins. Looks like a bagel/crumpet hybrid or something.. thats probably just me though
when my sister was in england, she said the english muffins she got were more dense and thick, like regular bread...or like a bagel with no hole haha... here they're very light, lots of air bubbles, makes for lots of little pits for the melting butter to get trapped in yum yum maybe she only tried a lousy brand, but maybe they're also different over there. can you shed light on this? :cheers2:
Nooo, she got it all wrong, muffins are light and fluffy Same texture as toast pretty much. She must have had some weird mutant fake muffins..
well....i mean...yeah, she said it was pretty much like regular bread, like toast? maybe i misunderstood her. but here...they're full of air pockets, lots of nooks and crannies.... like this but obviously that is burnt to hell but i wanted to find a good closeup some of the pics i see show them as thinner than i'm used to, and not split in half like this. maybe thats what she was trying to say the difference way. i dont know! either way i like what i get here. i wish i could have a toaster in my dorm. she probably just got some lousy brand! or a bakery that didnt make good ones either way, a toasted english muffin with marmalade is one of my favorite breakfasts. butter works, too, in a pinch!
