And I don’t mean dear old Mom. I mean walking barefoot in good sloshy thick mud for the sheer dirtiness/pleasure of it! Any mudpuckers here?
My favorite thing to walk in. Love it! I have a fantasy of hiking on a trail that is nothing but miles of perfect mud. Unfortunately not much mud around SoCal these day.
i never understood the appeal. i love swimming, but other than that i prefer to stay dry. walking on wet surfaces is just kind of uncomfortable to me. it's why i dislike spring.
Living the city, Walking in the mud, Is seldom an option, But I frequently wade, Hip deep, the bullshit!
A Few Weeks Back A Group Of Aboriginals Sitting Outside The Post Office Called Me A "Mudrunner"...... They Were Not Being Nasty......Quite The Opposite Actually......I Had Never Heard That Term Before But A Guy Who Overheard Them Told Me What It Meant...... Cheers Glen.
I can never stop laughing at the whole concept. The worst thing about staying in Ireland, apart from the fact that it rains 364 days of the year, is the hallway full of muddy wellingtons. I could just imagine telling Jane's family that people paddle in the mud for pleasure. LMAO.
Nothing better than mud. I love going on a hike after a good rain so there will be mud puddles on the trail.
There are two things I love about barefooting. The first is getting my feet dirty in towns and cities. Yes I know some may think that’s gross but IDK, I just really like getting my feet filthy with city dirt. The other is mud! It feels amazing! There is a coast walk that I do in the summer at low tide, with miles of thick, slimy gloopy mud to walk in. It’s so thick that you can be up to your knees in it in some places! And the area is so remote that, all the times I have done this walk I have not ever come across a single soul. Meaning that you can walk for as long as you like in mud until your hearts content. Let me tell you it feels like heaven! And on more than one occasion, the mud has looked so perfect and so tempting that I’ve stripped right down to my underwear and gone for a ‘swim’ (if that’s the right word! Maybe that’s for a different forum lol). Mainly I love walking barefoot in it though. I have tried this in the winter but it’s just too cold, my feet go numb which destroys all the sensation and I can’t actually feel anything, so it’s definitely only for summer for me.
