I haven't watched the MTV Awards since I was about 14.

Kanye has a way of commandeering the microphone.

He took away the mic from a pop star at an awards ceremony.

Kanye went off the script and said some choice words about Bush during a live telethon for Katrina relief until the producer cut off the microphone.

Do they show bush or pink on MTV yet?

 

I thought the award show was dope compared to previous years.

The host was funny.. at times. Eminem opened up the show w/ Rihanna. I really only wanted to see what he was going to do (turned out to be my favorite part). And then my nigga Drake performed with Swizz Beats and Mary J Blige, which was a good performance also.

All the Gaga and Beiber hoopa was overkill, but whatever. And then Kanye and Taylor Swift.. which I don't think neither combined hit one single note during their performance. I kept thinking she was going to come out on stage while he was closing the show, but no.. he sucked it up by himself to end the night. Pause.

 

Im suprised people even watch MTV anymore. Those stations are one of the worst when it comes to commercials. Not to mention the shows are total garbage, with no music.

Everyone at those shows are sellouts; except for maybe a select few. Real musicians don't do it for the fame, they do it for the music. Which everything on MTV is not about.
