I saw The Blues Brothers when it came out. The critics didn't know what to make of it at the time.I guess I am showing my age. Anyway, for a movie that makes me happy I would choose It's a Wonderful Life. I seem to have a penchant for films made by people of Italian extraction. This includes Italian language films.
The Rutles that film cracks me up its so funny i have always thought in the back of my mind cheese and onion oh yeah
there are parts of movies that just make so amazingly happy - the end of amelie; the scene from almost famous where they sing 'tiny dancer'; the end of 200 cigarettes; and of course The Princess Bride...everything from 'as you wish' to 'Hello. my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, Prepare to die" is just so very fantastic.
currently. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, ''Well, I could be wrong, but I believe uh, diversity is an old wooden ship that was used during the civil war era. ''lol
Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls. The whole rhino scene always puts a happy feeling inside of me. Jim Carrey needs to make an Ace Ventura 3 and forget about all this whole serious acting career thing.
I'd have to give another vote to 'Amelie'. Almost makes me want to hand over my spare change to panhandlers. Also, "It's a Wonderful Life." A happy tearjerker which gets me every year.
that bit at the end of willy wonka and the chocolate factory where gene wilder explains to charlie why he's looking for a successor "I'm not going to live forever, and I really don't care to try"
"And don't forget what happened to the person who got everything. He lived happily ever after". "If god had've wanted us to walk, he wouldn't have invented roller skates".
