Mine was a '63 Triumph TT120. Fastest type in the world at that time--156 out of the factory. I see riders with flashing lights now---if you do get one, it's a good idea to leave 'em on all the time. People just don't register that a bike is coming, in their minds, and they'll turn right in front of you.
First of all, I just wanna say that, Aeri, I am very sorry to hear about your family member. That is very sad and judging by the picture you posted of the crash it looks like it was a horrific one. My aunt and uncle, when they were very young, were out riding on a bike of some sort n got into a bad crash (I really don't know the details of what happened though, so I can't say who was at fault or what happened...), but my aunt had to be taken by helicopter and even then it was too late to save her leg so she lost one of her legs at her knee. Neither her nor my uncle ride anymore. (at least she survived the crash though...) Around here a whole BUNCH of people have bumper stickers about bike safety.. I'm forgetting atm exactly what the stickers say but it's something like "Watch for Motorcycles-Share the Road"...something like that. In my own personal experience, I have never really seen any cars drive rudely (for lack of a better word or term) to cyclists... when ever there is a motorcycle ahead of me or what not, I am always extra careful. I try to give them a little bit more space and things like that. I've always been like that with them- just using a bit more caution.. And I am sure some people in cars DO drive rudely to bikers, though I haven't personally noticed it. But I do wanna point out that I do often see some bikers just drive like jerks- along that lines of what hotwater said... I have seen them weaving in and out of lanes, racing people, driving on shoulders to avoid waiting in traffic... just things like that...things they can do because of space issues- because they are smaller. I always cringe when I see the extreme lane weaving-cutting in and out and stuff because I do worry that some car may not notice them because of their size and blind spots with them driving all crazy like that. I know that is not all bikers and I'm not trying to say that but it seems some people (around here anyway) are like that...
Motorbike gangs are like the scum of all gangs. Like you have a Harley, big fucking woop. Yeah you're cock must be hung bro. With their gay ass "colors" and "chapters". Go eat a dick losers. Eat dicks at the highway diner with your buddies in bandanas like you're soooo tough.
That's about it. But what a pathetic and weak excuse to join a gang. I ride horses and that traditionally means my bandit outlaw life is waaay the fuck more epic than silly motorcycles gangs. A Harley wouldn't last 5ft where my mare can go. You might even say I've got bigger balls than bike gang dudes ^.^ and no doubt more accurate with my bow than those silly sawnofffs.
My ex's dad is a part of a biker "club" around here. They don't consider themselves a gang (only biker gang round these parts that I know of is the Banditos) but they have vests and act like they're tough shit. I like to make fun of them because they're a bunch of wannabe gangsters with bikes. I see Banditos around pretty often and have never had any problem with any of them, even the ones with 1% patches. Be polite to them, you get the same respect in return. But that stupid club, they walk around talking shit and acting like they're just sooo cool. Obnoxious people.
Wow... You ride dog food. How far is she gonna go when she gets a shot to the head? That would be an epic shot! Horses more 'epic' LMFAO, Grow balls and maybe you can handle 'horse power'.
Most M/C clubs tend to say away from the general public as far a fuckin with them goes. She must have done something to get them to react.
Uhh huh.. "Corruption, violence, drug dealing, human trafficking, arms trading and even murder have all been committed by violent motorcycle gangs. In Germany's most populous state, North Rhine-Westphalia, about a dozen criminal cases are currently being processed. Motorcycle gangs have around 6,000 members across the country, the most prominent being the Hells Angels." http://www.dw.de/german-police-struggle-against-hells-angels/a-15997378
That may be, yet I believe the same charges could be brought against any large group of white collar execs if truth be known....... not to excuse anyone, just pointing out.......
thing is GS, that's a story about the outlaw biker scene in germany and europe. totally different than the US, but moreover the Angels are the majority in europe whereas in the US it's no more than public perception that they are the majority. Thanks to sensationalistic reporting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_outlaw_motorcycle_clubs this is a pretty damned good entry at Wiki I'm going to have to say that it's been my experience what Jo King said is on the whole, true. Those cat's stay far below the radar as much as possible, but just like the mob, the communities where they live know who they are.
Yeah they may stay below the radar of the authority's where they live, they must go out of town when they want to to reek havoc apparently. Wish I had pics of the several years when the Banditos invaded the small town I live near during the it's annual street dance/ Alberton Days celebration. There was brawling and gunplay and at least one rape. I can't believe people defending scum like this
