I have not been watching the finals. But the fact that San Antonio and Miami and the two teams is proof to me. Miami has Lebron AKA the new cash cow MJ and San Antonio has all the international players. Between the two it is easy to sell to the world. The main goal of the NBA for the last decade has been to make Europe care about basketball. People always say this Spurs are in a small town, what is the purpose of them being made to look so good. It sells jerseys on the other side of the Atlantic.

i was thinking the same thing ani. it obviously has nothing to do with both teams having 3 all-star caliber players.

I am not sure what you mean since I did not see the game but the fix is done though the refs not the players. Its very easy all you have to do is call fouls and ensure foul shots or possession of the ball go to the right team until the desired score is reached. The players do not know who will win and do "play" legit intending to win. Some do not believe in the fix I think but some do know and accept it for what it is since the pay is so good.

And why are those players on the Spurs? Because of my point there were all put in one spot to market the sport to Europeans. Lebron too, Cleveland is not that exciting. But now he is in the glamorous city of Miami. That is all by design.

C'mon man. Watch a game. It's competition at it's best by superbly conditioned athletes. That was an excellent game. The refs'd be strung the fuck up if it was as blatant as you think. Give it a chance------------. I will agree that the super stars occasionally get some calls that are a little off. (as discussed earlier).

Both teams have the 2 longest tenured coaches with their respective teams as well, certainly doesn't suggest anything about having team chemistry , gameplans and continuity, obviously another facet of the conspiracy.

They are loosing so they can get a good draft pick and be marketable in a few years. Kobe is old so conveniently they have an off year, same thing happened before they got him. Years of dominance and then a crappy year.

That is how sports work in theory, the bad team gets a shot at the good new players but don't you find it odd LA lucks out so much? Draft classes tend to be pretty average and then every now and then a real good guy comes. They are always bad at the right time. I guarantee the Lakers win a few titles in the next 10 years like always.

It also fits in with the whole clippers are good angle. The Lakers being bad gives that story line time to shine. There will probably be a "play off show down" between the two in a year or two's time. Think of the ratings. Once again as a wrestling fan I see. Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock has to be built up. You care because they have both been made out to look unstoppable. You don't care if they have not. So the Clippers need time to shine for the plan to cash out.

The draft is known to be fixed too. A good example would be Ewing going to the Knicks.

The lakers werent bad when james was drafted...i guess cleveland was supposed to be the new lakers (makes sense being they are closer to lakes than the lakers are)

The Lakers had not won a championship for over a decade before Kobe's first championship and they haven't won since 2010. Los Angeles is a desirable place to play, particularly for the Lakers organization and in basketball, players tend to have a bit more leverage on choosing what teams they want to play for compared to other team sports, so they very well may be good again sooner than many other teams that are less renowned and/or in bad areas that are currently struggling.

It's unfortunate these "masterminds" didn't put the Clippers and Lakers in different conferences so they would have a chance of meeting in the finals for the Big Cash out.

Every team has players from other countries. The spurs are not special in that category.

What does Lebron have to do with that? They do not need to be bad for him to one day be set up as the next money maker unless the plan was for him to be on that team. He went to Cleveland so a small market could make some money for a few years and the dream team of Miami set up. Like I said before these are long term plans, there is a season every year they can not blow their wad in one year.

They are in the same division, they could not play in the finals just the playoffs for the west teams

San Antonio has the most by design. I am not sure what your point is. Of course other teams will have players from there.

That is my point, they will never meet in the finals which would maximize their profit from this supposed rivalry you are suggesting. I originally wrote 'didn't put them in the same conference' but I must have erased it when editing.

He's no longer the commissioner of the NBA.

There was an implication that the lakers get the best players when needed. Well they didnt get the best one there.
my point on the spurs was that the team drafted the players they thought would help them win...crazy thing is it worked. Other teams have players from other countries...they arent as good hence they dont win. I will attempt to bow out of this conversation until some proof is provided. Orrrr at least a reasonable argument. I have yet to see one. If cleveland makes it i hear "its a small market for a few years" if the knicks make it i hear "its the biggest market so of course the nba wants them to win." I also could come up with a conspiracy theory for every team on why they are good or bad. I guess its just that i dont watch too much wrestling.

Thats what I was thinking.. OP has ZERO evidence that sports are fixed. The only thing he posted is a video of a ref who blew calls to make some extra cash.

I dont get why OP is talking like he is the puppet master of the sports world.

Yes sports can be corrupt, especially FIFA, but American pro sports are not fixed.

The MJ video is better evicence to me. But it is working, you all believe it is real and just accept that "stars get better calls". You don't see the reason for that. So its true I have no evidence that can convince you. The NBA is very good at what they do.

Stadium sports were designed for the common welfare of the people (the public welfare system). In other words the events are suppose to support the community with the millions of dollars generated. Not paying a player millions of dollars. The towns, city and neighborhoods see nothing .. Take a look around the neighborhoods surrounding these stadiums. Dilapidated homes, unkept roadways, litter, crime..

Money goes to advertizing and excessively used utilities like water, gas and electric to corporations. Very little, if any money makes it back to the community. In fact the community is taxed even more. Common family people need to give up an entire paycheck to see a game from peanut heaven.

The lack of compassion and anger rivalry is growing generation after generation. The games are becoming more violent, and leading to unruly behaviors on and off the fields. Obviously this supports a paramilitary presence to keep the peace.

Following the Roman footprints to collapse..
