"San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers In Your Hair)" by a one hit wonder, Scott McKenzie, circa 1967
Ha, thats so weird. The first minute I saw this thread, I though of 'San Francisco' by Scott McKenzie. No one mentioned it in the first pages, and now in the last post you say it...whatever don't mind... I love 'San Francisco', when I feel a little depressed I always put it on, lay on my bed, I sing along with it, and it makes me smile.
Proves the old saying "Great Minds Think Alike". Remembering the song reminded me of our Family vacation, August 1967. For about 15 minutes, we drove down Haight-Ashbury street area. Very strange sightings. Now, I wished we stopped and walked around for the rest of the afternoon.
I was going to say this song as well, but seeing how you've already mentioned, i'll have to say Jefferson Airplanes 'white rabbit'

"Everything's Alright" from the Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack. The song is very hippie-ish, yet has almost nothing to do with Jesus Christ or religion, but it talks about world issues, but the chorus' message is simple, "Try Not To Get Worried, Try Not To Turn On to Problems that'll set you off, 'cause you know, Everything's Alright, Everything's Fine, And I Want you to sleep well tonight, close your eyes, close your eyes, so you can sleep well tonight."
