MOst Over-rated Band?

Well I aree with Phish certainly...and Pearl Jam, I think they are awful but people still like them...in fact most all grunge was overrated

and Clapton of course, I fucking hate his music

i pretty much agree with seamonster here, pearl jam was the first thing that came to mind......why haven't people forgotten about them yet?

and i haven't heard any solo clapton i like, but he's on the radio all the time

And most of the top "whatever" lists usually put Nirvava in the top 5 (best rock group, most influential, blah blah blah). puke

 

And Bob Segar! My Lord he was playing on four stations at the same time the other day! *vomits*

I also can't stand these jam bands that keep popping up fucking everywhere... spare me from yet another boring, flashy guitar solo. If I want to get wasted out of my mind, or dance, or "feel the vibe"; I'll go to a rave.

I respect that everybody has a right tho voice their opinion. But I think that many of you need to switch to smoking CRACK LITE. With all of the awful "music" that is being made these days, by bands who have never played an original note, how can you name Phish,Zepplin, John "Fucking" Lennon, Paul McCartney Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead etc, as being the most over-rated. Many of the bands that you people have named as being "great" would be not exisit without the influence of these individuals. I understand that many of you are to young to know any better and only write what you think is cool. But do some research before you speak.

yeah same here, a friend of mine is uuber obsessed...and loads of people hail them as the greatest band of all time etc

 

Its true look at the amount of programs dedicated to kurt and nirvana that are on music channels....

 

hahahaha .. I agree.. I can't quite put into words my dislike for this chap...here are a few anyway.... I can't give him the 'respect him as a good musician.' crap.. even if a few of the beatles tracks were 'catchy', their not musical works of genius .. just irritating musical grievances like 'who let the dogs out' they get processed in the same part of the brain you know... I realise this is a completly irrational loathing of him, i just think some one who moves on and marries a gets pregnant a woman after such a short space of time after the 'love of his life' dies .. plus that fucking self loving smug knowing grin he always has on his face .. well it just pisses me off.

Don't bands/musicians have too be 'rated' to be 'over-rated' ?.

Most of the new big bands in Britain at the moment... i just cant... relate to all this music that is being ejaculated into the music scene by all these bands....

Ejaculated, now thats a good word. hahaha.

Radiohead, i have the Bends, and its a good album, but i find alot of their music very sad and very dower, which i dont like.
