Bob Dyaln's "Queen Jane Approxiamately" (I seem to mention this song quite a lot) or also by Bob Dylan "Like A Rolling Stone" Maybe the Beatles, "Across the Universe", that's a good one. I agree, there's too many. I can't think of them all.
Ty to whoever gave me that reputation thing there I owe you one I agree with pretty much every song posted here, tears in heaven is pretty sad. Another of mine is 'Nightswimming' by REM, the song itself isn't sad just that it reminds me of these great holidays my family used to have when i was younger, and my mum wants it played at her funeral, as she keeps saying!
"Mu-Tron", Super Furry Animals. It's the sad song from the last episode of Spaced, and when me and my mate Sarah went off to our respective unis I put it on the CD I made her at the end. I don't know what the lyrics mean, I think they're in welsh and they're pretty hard to make out. But yeah, it's lovely.
Lol Danny Boy is a bit cliché, but i suppose if i had to pick on irish song, i would pick Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2 or Zombie by The Cranberries.
"Pale Blue Eyes" by Velvet Underground "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead "Ripple" by Grateful Dead "Everywhere" by Fleetwood Mac
There are a few: "Feels So Good" - Chuck Mangione "Stumbleine" - The Smashing Pumpkins "San Diego Serenade " - Tom Waits "Country Feedback" - R.E.M. "All This Useless Beauty" - Elvis Costello
"BVK Bush vs. Kerry Whoever wins. . . we lose" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!! That's great, and, unfortunately, true.
REM: Try Not to Breathe Metallica: Astronomy (don't know why, it's just so damn good) Ani Difranco: Joyful Girl (not emotional in a sad way, of course) "I do it for the joy it brings, because I'm a joyful girl, because the world owes me nothing, and we owe each other the world, and I do it because it's the least I can do, I do it because I learned it from you, I do it just because I want to, because I want to"

babyfreak1988 Think you are an artist and a pretty amazing person. That was before I clicked the link "here" which now makes me now think you are pretty awsome... Are you really 13 years old ? The link was very clever...How did you link the song to work so well ? It was the first time I have ever heard that song, and I loved it. It's a very colourful "alive" song...Brilliant...and I can see why it could be special to many people... Anyhow, Just thought you ought to know that at 47 and going around the world for the second time....there are few people who stand out quite as much as you do...."Shine on"
My Lagan Love is my favourite Irish tune - John221 this is my favourite as well. a case of you - joni mitchell the kiss - judee sill
Here's a few of mine... Sinead O'Connor - Thief of Your Heart (fitting for the In the Name of the Father soundtrack) Portishead - Sour Times (it's just so thick with melancholy) Elvis Costello - Allison Warren Zevon - Keep Me in Your Heart Pink Floyd - If VU - Beginning to See the Light Artist: Leonard Cohen Song: Waiting For The Miracle (Natural Born Killers soundtrack also see his song The Future) Baby, I've been waiting, I've been waiting Night and day I didn't see the time, I waited half my life away There were lots of invitations And I know you sent me some, But I was waiting For the miracle, For the miracle to come I know you really loved me but, you see, my hands were tied I know it must have hurt you, it must have hurt your pride to have to stand beneath my window with your bugle and your drum, and me I'm up there waiting for the miracle, for the miracle to come Ah I don't believe you'd like it, You wouldn't like it here There ain't no entertainment and the judgements are severe The Maestro says it's Mozart but it sounds like bubble gum when you're waiting for the miracle, for the miracle to come Waiting for the miracle There's nothing left to do I haven't been this happy since the end of World War II Nothing left to do when you know that you've been taken Nothing left to do when you're begging for a crumb Nothing left to do when you've got to go on waiting waiting for the miracle to come I dreamed about you, baby It was just the other night Most of you was naked Ah but some of you was light The sands of time were falling from your fingers and your thumb, and you were waiting for the miracle, for the miracle to come Ah baby, let's get married, We've been alone too long Let's be alone together Let's see if we're that strong Yeah let's do something crazy, Something absolutely wrong While we're waiting For the miracle, for the miracle to come Nothing left to do ... When you've fallen on the highway and you're lying in the rain, and they ask you how you're doing of course you'll say you can't complain -- If you're squeezed for information, that's when you've got to play it dumb: You just say you're out there waiting for the miracle, for the miracle to come Ah baby, let's get married, We've been alone too long...
